A Charity Ministry Making Positive Changes in the World
We all have witnessed the horror of victims of natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, ect. which have caused unprecedented levels of destruction across Africa, America, the Caribbean, Mexico and other regions of the world. Our heart goes out and we wish for a way out to help. Well, there is when you join with Act of Kindness Mission Ministry we will find a way out.
It was after Hurricane Harvey, a devastating Category 4 hurricane, that made landfall on Texas and Louisiana on August 17th 2017, causing catastrophic flooding and more than 100 deaths. It is tied with 2005 's Hurricane Katrina as the costliest tropical cyclone on record, inflicting $125 billion. Twenty percent of Black Houstonian homes were damaged by Hurricane Harvey.
I am Pastor Franklin Nicholas, who is totally dedicated to helping others. God has called me and equipped me with a strong desire to help others. You too have this kind of desire. Great things can be done as we work together to help others in need. When the heavy rain continued to pour down on Texas lives were lost, people were displaced, and properties were destroyed. I started wondering what I can do to help. At the break of day, I left my home and walked down the street. That's when I saw a little old lady standing outside of her daughter’s house. She said to me “Son, can you please go to my house 3 blocks down. It's the first house on the right and see if my house is flooded.” I said to this little old lady “Yes, I will.” I left and when I came back she was still standing right there where I left her. I thought for a minute should I tell her that her house was flooded. I looked at her and said “yes the water went into your home.” She looked at me and said, “thank you very much son” and then she gave me this big hug. I knew right then I was born to help others and that is how the Act of Kindness Mission Ministry started.
